Movement

In a world teeming with Horrors, where you stand can be just as important as what weapon you wield. During the Movement phase of their turn, every Hunter has the opportunity to reposition... or find themselves cornered. The total distance a Hunter can travel during this phase is determined by their "Speed".

A Hunter's base Speed is 30 feet, or 60 feet when they use their action to sprint. However, this can be altered by various factors such as specific traits, unique abilities, or the equipment they're carrying. Always be mindful of any obstacles, hazards, or enemies that could potentially impede or block your path.

Example

Overseer: "The room is 40 feet across, and the horror is in the middle. What do you do?"

David: "I want to move to the other side of the room. I have a speed of 30 feet, can I make it?"

Overseer: "You could sprint, which doubles your speed, but you won't be able to do anything else this turn."

David: "I'm not sticking around to chat with this thing. I sprint to the other side!"

Overseer: "The horror watches you run, it seems amused."

Amy: "Great, you made it laugh. Now it's going to eat us with a smile."

In Obscured, you can do more than just walking or running. Check out the Traversal section for more rules about the different ways you can move.
